    I have a few books from this author and somehow I missed picking up this one. Duh! This is one of my favorites so far! The dips are incredible! I LOVE guacamole, hummus (especially the spicy ones), and tapenades. She even has a dish called tomato mozzarella delight which is the Italian dish Insalata Caprese.. one more my favorites! If that wasn’t enough, there are also 4 different salsa recipes. If you like great food, and want to eat healthy at the same time, you have to pick up this book today.

    I am an experienced cook and I entertain quite a lot so I know a good cook-book when I see one. When I give a party I always want to provide great food for vegetarians and meat-eaters alike but I always want my appetizers to be meat-free. This is because a) I believe it is the healthier option; b) vegetable dishes are better at stimulating the appetite and c) the cook can be a whole lot more creative with veg. So when I was looking for some fresh ideas for appetizers I found this book and I can say I was delighted with it. Shelley Lynne is obviously a very knowledgeable cook and her recipes are well laid out and easy to follow. And she provides nutrition information for each recipe which is very helpful when creating a menu for a whole meal. The recipes are delicious and I have received many compliments from my veggie and non-veggie friends alike when serving Shelley’s food. A great recipe book!

    I’ve become a big fan of Shelley Lynne’s Vegetarian cookbooks. Her recipes are delicious, well-presented and easy to prepare. She always includes the nutrition facts which I really like.

    I’m not a vegetarian but one of my goals is to reduce the meat in my diet. I bought this particular book of Appetizers because in addition to being able to make healthy appetizers for parties and get togethers, I wanted to be able to make healthy dips and snacks for everyday eating. If I’m going to snack it may as well be healthy food 🙂

    Here are some of my favorites: Spicy Red Pepper Hummus, Roasted Veggie Dip, Sweet Fruit Dip, Homemade Party Mix, Sweet & Spicy Roasted Nuts, Sun Dried Tomato Bruschetta, Vegetarian Quesadillas and Zucchini Chips.

    You’ll also find a list of the recipes that can be made in 15 minutes or less. And a list of the recipes that are 300 calories or under. Finally you have the option of signing up for a bonus book of “40 East Vegetarian Recipes.” As always you get great value for the price!
